Allan S. Noren Jr.

PROCTOR - Allan S. Noren Jr., 76, of Proctor, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Proctor May 27, 1940, the son of Allan S. and Elsa (Swanson) Noren Sr.
Allan was a 1958 graduate of Proctor High School and a 1960 graduate of Becker Junior College. He attended Castleton State College.
On July 22, 1967, he married Jean (Teachout) Noren in Rutland.
He resided in Poultney for 40 years before moving back to Proctor in 2007.
He was a member of the Union Church of Proctor and the Poultney Methodist Church.
Allan was past master of Southerland Falls Lodge #108 in Proctor and a 50-year member of the Grand Lodge of Vermont F&AM.
Mr. Noren was employed by Vermont Marble Co. in Proctor, Simmons Precision in Fair Haven and for the Vermont Department of Liquor Control.
Surviving are his wife, Jean T. Noren, of Proctor; two sons, Rick Noren and his wife, Dawn, of Poultney, and Scott Noren, of Brattleboro; two grandchildren, James and Kari.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at United Church of Proctor. A reception will follow.
Burial will be at a later date in South Street Cemetery in Proctor.
