Anita L Curtis

Anita L Curtis of Sudbury VT passed away Monday November13th, 2023, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.  Anita was born on October 21, 1949 in Rutland to Emery and Joanne Gokey (Sofia).  She Graduated from Maloney High School in Meriden CT in 1969. Anita retired from GE after almost 30 years.  She enjoyed traveling, art, gardening, and antiques.  She was predeceased by her father Emery N Gokey in 1994, Mother Joanne Gokey (Sofia) in 2002, sister Mary Ann Deihl (Gokey) in 2020 and long time companion Salvatore Barucco in 2020.  She is survived by Son Scott (Jennifer) Curtis of Sudbury, Brother David Gokey of PA and Sister Debi (Tom) Kiniry of Florida, Grandchildren Caitlyn Curtis (Tom Patten) of West Haven, and Haley Curtis of Sudbury.  Anita also leaves behind Cousins Dick (Marion) Able of Rutland, Carol (Able) Berthay of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.  Service will be held Saturday Dec. 2nd at 1:00PM at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland and a graveside service to follow at Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.
