Thoughts from her son, Clyde: The love for her family was what kept her going, like the headlight of a northbound train.” The occasional dabbling of a steak from Applebees, a little ice cream, or a Kahlua and cream could bring that beautiful smile to her face Her first born son loves his mom “more than anything in the world” and is happy that she is now with the love of her life, her former husband, the “Amazing Clyde. In lieu of flowers, Anna Mae would love for donations to be made to your local library or something that encourages everyone to pick up a book.
Thoughts from her son, Brian: I knew how to read before anyone else in school. I’ll never forget her dedication to reading. When I was very young, I told her about a friend’s dad acting out a short Stephen King story. The response from her was he writes “scary trash”; a few days later she bought me a copy of Four Past Midnight, a collection of short stories by, you guessed it, Stephen King. She never liked what I read, but she loved that I read. I picked Of Mice and Men by Steinbeck for a report in the 6th grade. She called it brutal or something like that, again, Grapes of Wrath was in my hand very soon thanks to her.
