Anthony John Cioffi, 90, of Rutland, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, with his family at his side.
He was born in Rutland July 29, 1926, the son of Salvatore and Philomena (Gallo) Cioffi.
Mr. Cioffi was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was married to Lise (Brosseau) Notte Cioffi of Rutland.
Anthony was an avid golfer and enjoyed wintering in Boca Raton, FL.
He was a fan of the New York Giants and the Yankees.
He was a member of Christ the King Church, the American Legion, Elks, Knights of Columbus, Proctor-Pittsford Country Club and Rutland Country Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lise Cioffi, of Rutland; a daughter, Laurie "Notte" Laliberte and her husband, Thomas, of Rutland; two granddaughters, Michelle and Katelyn Laliberte; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by both his parents, Salvatore and Philomena; by brothers, Rocco, Frank, Ralph and Raymond Cioffi; and sisters, Mary Romano, Rose Firliet, Alice Cioffi and Jennie Cioffi.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, in Christ the King Church. Officiating will be Rev. Msgr. Bernard Bourgeois, pastor.
A reception will follow.
Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
There are no visiting hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
