Anthony J. Clarino 44, died Saturday April 5, 2025 at his residence after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. In his last days he was cared for by his mother and brother Mario under the supervision of Bayada Hospice.
Born February 12, 1981 at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Guantanamo Bay Cuba the son of Louise (Bashaw) Clarino and CWO4 Salvatore J. Clarino, USCG. Being a child of a Coast Guard family he lived in VA, MA, NJ and CT. In addition to playing soccer he also was involved in Scouting starting as a Tiger Cub, Cub Scout and Boy Scout. He received the honor of being selected as a member of the Order of the Arrow. He graduated from Rutland High School. He took training at Job Corps facilities in MA and GA in the field of masonry. Later was employed as a mason tender for Tedesco's Masonry. Other jobs held included Ted's Pizza, the Coffee Exchange, Hobby Lobby, Job Lot and most recently Stockton Security. He was so proud of his uniform. Fulfilling a life long dream he toured Ireland and Scotland for 10 days last fall.

He is survived by his mother Louise Clarino, of Rutland. Brothers-Salvatore III(Maria Shaw) of Rockfall, CT, Mario of Rutland, Christopher(fiance Sarah Barnett) and nephew Salvadore of Sandford, ME. Aunt Mary(Bill)Gladski of Beavercreek OH, Margaret Clarino of Alexandria VA, Maris Rock, Joann(John)Foran, Shari(Joe Noonan)Bashaw all of St. Albans, VT.

He was predeceased by his father Salvatore Clarino, Jr. Paternal grandparents Elizabeth and Salvatore J. Clarino, Sr., and maternal grandparenst Yvette and Ezra Bashaw.Uncles Michael St. Louis, Jim Rock, Jim Bashaw, Richard Bashaw, Aunt Marlyne Bashaw.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday April 12, 2025 at 12 P.M. at Christ the King Church, with Msgr Bernard Bourgeois as the celebrant. Luncheon to follow the srevice at Southside Steakhouse 170 S. Main street Rutland, VT
Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
