Arthur “Art” Francis Saceric, 88, of Proctor, passed away at his home on April 16, 2026. Born August 2, 1937, to Arthur and Genevieve (Rutkowski) Saceric.
Art served in the Army Reserves and worked as a printer for more than 50 years, retiring at 88. In 1980, he married Carol (Parker) Saceric; together, they built a home on the same family land where Art had grown up. Proctor was always home to Art, and that connection to the land and his family’s history meant a great deal to him.
Art’s dedication to his community was reflected in his long record of public service. He served on the School Board from 1975 to 2021, an extraordinary 46 years. In recognition of that service, the Town dedicated its 2021 annual report to him.
Through his dedication to his community and his friendly way. Art made many friends that lasted over many decades and his presence will be missed to the many that knew him and called him a friend.
Outside of work and public service, Art enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and could often be found working the many projects around the home and property he loved.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carol.
He is survived by his children, Joseph Saceric, Julie Francis, and Jason Saceric (Jessica); his grandchildren, MacKenzie O’Connell (Jake) and Owen Saceric; and his brother, Bob Saceric (Bonnie).
Art will be remembered for his quiet strength and long service to his community.
