Bernard H. Doty Jr.

Bernard H. Doty Jr., 80, of North Clarendon, VT died on October 19, 2024 at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Bernard was born on May 9, 1944 in Rutland, VT, the son of Bernard H. Doty Sr. and Arlene (Harper) Denno.

He attended Rutland Highschool, class of 1962. He owned his own business as a carpet layman. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, and doting on his wife, Barbara. Most of all, he loved wood working and during the course of his marriage to Barbara, he furnished and fitted their home with his own handywork.

Survivors include his wife Barbara J. Doty; brother Richard Doty of Lexington, NC; nieces Brenda (David) Trombley, Linda (Mike) Stnaowski, Christina Harper, and Melissa (Tim) Ketchum; nephews Bryan (Anne) McMahon, Aaron (Henrica) Holden of Granby, CT, Dean Doty of Johnson, VT, and Buddy Doty of NC; and several great nieces and nephews and cousins

He was predeceased by both parents; sisters Joyce and Jean; brother Bobby; and nephew Shawn Holden.
