Bernice Bujak

Bernice Bujak   - East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.   Bernice Agnes Bujak, 98 passed away to eternal rest on May 5, 2025 at East Longmeadow Memory Care in East Longmeadow, Mass.  She was a Christmas Eve baby born on December 24 1925 in Center Rutland, Vermont.    She was the loving daughter of  Thomas and Anna Bujak, She was predeceased by parents, sisters Mary, Stephanie and Josephine, her brothers Stanley and 8 month old, Joseph.   Her sister, Stella Burke and her brother in-law,

Francis Burke.  She leaves her loving nephew, Thomas Burke and niece, Mary Ann Lacombe and  grand nieces, Kimberlee and Sarah and cousins in New Jersey.   She left Center Rutland twice.  The first time was in the 1940's, moving to Springfield, Massacusetts for employment living with her brother-in-law's mother, Mary E. Burke.  She and her sister, Stella joined the million other women in the work force

during World War II.  She and Stella worked in the Springfield Armory.   When the war ended. she continued to live in Springfield and worked at Milton Bradley until the mid 50's.  She returned to Center Rutland and lived with family and started to work as a

machine operator at the newly built, Tampax/Tambrands facility until her retirement in 1990.   She enjoyed tending to her rock garden, reading, traveling to Springfield to visit  family and Lake George.  A lifelong Catholic she was a Communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka, her home parish.   She moved to Westfield, Mass in 2017 as her health was failing.  She lived with her niece, Mary Ann Lacombe and her husband, the late Norman Lacombe.   In 2023 she moved to East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing/Memory Care until her passing.  The time she spent there was will love, respect and care by the staff which the family is very grateful.

Calling hours will be from 930 AM - 1030 AM  on Wednesday May 15 at Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St Stanislaus Kostka Church in West Rutland.
