Betsi Williams

RUTLAND — Betsi Jane Williams, 63, of Rutland, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on September 15, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 8, 1962, in Rutland, the daughter of Phyllis Williams and Bernard Orcutt.

Betsi was a 1981 graduate of Poultney High School. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially the precious time she spent with her grandchildren. Those who knew Betsi will remember her warmth, resilience, and the gentle way she made everyone around her feel valued, cared for, and loved.

She is survived by her three children, Kyle Green of Proctor, Kristopher Jackson of Rutland, and Sarah Jackson of Rutland; her sister, Tina Flood of Sudbury; her brother, Shawn Williams of Sarasota, FL; her five grandchildren, Hunter, Nikko, Michael, Tucker, and Reese; many nieces and nephews; and her very beloved friend, Christopher McGuigan.

Betsi was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Robin Williams and Douglas Williams; her beloved twin sister, Bobbi Williams; her great-nephew, Christian Emery; and her great-great-nephew, Bentley Emery.

A celebration of Betsi’s life will be held at the Moose Club in Rutland, on Sunday, Oct. 11th at 2pm.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Foley Cancer Center, hospice, and BAYADA Home Health Care for their compassionate care, kindness, and support during Betsi’s final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who knew and loved Betsi to honor her memory by remembering her love, her strength, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
