Boleslaus J. “Butch” Godek, 88, of Rutland died March 18, 2017 at Rutland Health & Rehabilation.

He was born in West Rutland, December 22, 1928 the son of William and Julia (Misek) Godek

Butch was a graduate of West Rutland High School class of 1947. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose Club.

Surviving are his daughter, Judith Lawless of West Rutland, two sisters-in-law Patricia Godek and Claire Godek, nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by two sisters Sophie Kulig and Mary Fabian and by four brothers, Frank Godek, Michael Godek, John Godek and Stanislaus Godek.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.

Burial will be at a later date in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home I Rutland & West Rutland.
