Brenda Thomas

Brandon- Brenda M (Rider) Thomas (80) passed peacefully in Brandon, VT on July 2, 2025. She was born in Rutland, VT to Earl and Mable (Jakeway) Rider.

Brenda resided in Talkeetna, Alaska for 37 years, where she had many adventures, including raising a baby moose names Winkie.

She loved hunting, traveling, and visiting the casino.

Brenda is survived by her siblings; Leslie Rider, Blanche Welch Regina West, and Anthony Rider; her son Nelson Thomas and his wife Kandy; her daughter Sabrina Thomas; her step-children Allen (Cindi) Thomas, Dawn (Joe) Rinehart, Rose (Brett) Town and Lynde Thomas; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Brenda was predeceased by her husband Carl, her parents, her siblings Earl Rider Jr and Gene Rider; and the father of her children, David Thomas.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. A private burial will be held at a later date in Talkeetna, AK.
