Brian Greenfield

Brian Greenfield of Rutland, Vermont passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2026 at the age of 55.

Born on June 14, 1971 in Rutland, Vermont, his lifelong home, Brian was a cherished partner, father, son, sibling, friend, musician and teacher to many. He will be remembered for his passionate teaching career, amazing sense of humor, and presence in multiple music communities. Brian valued all connections and art that life had to offer and was a deeply kind person.

Brian was the proud father of Julia Greenfield. He was the loving brother of Scott and Eric Tuepker, Traci Madison, and Kim Estremera, as well as ex-husband of Melissa Greenfield. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughter, ex-wife and four siblings, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, John Tuepker and Joan Carroll, as well as his grandparents Inez and James Carroll.

A celebration of life will be held on September 27, 2026 from 11am-3pm at The Moose Lodge on Center Street in Rutland, Vermont. Come as you are! You can wear tie dye in Brian’s honor if you choose, but he also loved black! Brian leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered, honored, and loved always.
