Brooke Cassidy
After 22 years and six days, a brilliant star burned out and our beautiful daughter and sister left this world. Brooke Simone Cassidy, (Brookie, Booka, Sweet Pea) passed on June 9, 2016. Brookie was a talented artist, and an intelligent, kind and loving young woman with a quiet, quirky sense of humor. She loved warm summer weather and looked forward to fishing at her Dad’s secret spot, as well as Three Stooges Marathons with Dad. Brooke, Trevor and Mom shared some wild camping adventures. Mom and Brooke spent evenings together talking while gazing at the stars. She was a wise and gentle soul who had a tender spot for all animals and had a flair for fashion that was topped off by a beautiful, sparkling smile. Brooke loved a variety of music and was a voracious reader. She played youth soccer and had earned a green belt in karate. Brookie will be missed dearly by her big brother and protector Trevor Cassidy, whom she adored, and Trevor’s companion, Liz, along with Brooke's loving parents, Tim Cassidy and Kathi Cassidy. Kathi’s companion, David Krasner, and his son, Zach, were also very important to her. Brooke’s maternal grandparents, Jean and Louis Richards cherished her. Brooke also leaves this world with loving extended family, who will miss her tremendously: numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Brooke had a close circle of friends who had a special place in her heart. Willy Crawford has been her loving companion. Willard and Wallace Magoon and Rob Baker also showed her much kindness. Brooke will join other loved ones who have left this world including her paternal grandparents, Irene and Edward Cassidy, Uncles Mark and Michael Cassidy.
Brooke was a proud 2012 graduate of West Rutland High School and a dedicated first level supervisor at Home Depot. Brooke recently earned her State Board Certification in Phlebotomy and was exploring a new career in health care.
