Carolyn J Miglorie

Carolyn J. Miglorie, 96, of Proctor, Vermont, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on April 14, 2026, at Rutland Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 25, 1929, in Proctor, Vermont, to Elsie (Hector) and George Johnson.

After graduating from Proctor High School, class of 1947, she began working at Proctor Trust Company. She met the love of her life, Jerry Miglorie, at the Proctor Skating Rink. They were married in 1955 and together they raised three boys. She and Jerry purchased a Datsun dealership in 1975, and for 40 years they ran a successful business. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Proctor. Carolyn loved to watch the birds in her backyard. Every Spring it was a competition between her and her sister to see who spotted the first hummingbird of the season. She also loved watching the Red Sox. But most of all, she loved her family. She was extremely proud of her sons and grandchildren. 

She is survived by her sons, John (Lisa) and Jake (Andrea), and her grandchildren, Abigail, Bethany, and Jack.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her son Mark, her brother Norman and her sister Rita. 

A special thank you to her extraordinary caregiving team. Their loving care and devotion made it possible for Carolyn to remain living comfortably in her home for her final years.

A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Proctor on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 5 Gibbs St., Proctor, VT 05765.
