Cecelia L. Dorman, 79, died April 9, 2017, at Mountain View Genesis Center, after a long illness.
She was born March 30, 1938, in Rutland, the daughter of Joseph P. and Gelsomina (Petraglia) Carrara.
Cecelia was a 1956 graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy.
She was enlisted in the U.S Women's Army Corps from 1956 to 1958 where she met and later married her husband, Richard, on Sept. 13, 1958.
She was employed at McDonald's for 25 years.
Cecelia was a member of Christ the King Church.
She enjoyed gardening, dancing, yard sales and cooking. Cecelia was devoted to her loving family and cherished her time with them.
Surviving are her husband, Richard F. Dorman, of Rutland; three sons, Michael F. Dorman and his wife, Loretta, of Alexandria, Virginia, James R. Dorman, of Rutland, Joseph L. Dorman and his wife, Marlana, of Fort Washington, Maryland; three daughters, Kathleen D. Cannon and her partner, James McClay, of Panton, Kelly J. Dorman and her fiancé, James Root, of Rutland Town, Susan M. Coutermarsh and her husband, Joseph, of Springfield; three brothers, Paul J. Carrara and his wife, Joanne, of Middlebury, Robert A. Carrara and his wife, Mary, of North Clarendon, Richard S. Carrara and his wife, Carol, of Florida; seven grandchildren, Christina Cannon, Alaina Cannon, Nathaniel Cannon, Lucia Coutermarsh, Arianna Dorman, Michelle Dorman, Natalie Dorman; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a brother, John Carrara.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Christ the King Church.
Burial will be held at a later date.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
