Debra Lloyd

Debra Lloyd passed away peacefully on 06/22/2026

Debra was born in Rutland, VT on February 5, 1961. Her parents were Joseph and Janice Lloyd.

She attended West Rutland School, graduating in 1979. She then graduated from College of St. Joseph, where she earned a degree in Business Administration.

She then began pursuing different avenues of adventure early in life. Her first actual job was at the law office of Keyser, Crowley, Banse & Facey.

She then took time off to raise her son, Jeffrey.

In 1998, She entered into the medical field, enjoying working for Dr. Gorman, Dr. Krupnick, and finishing her career at Dr. Douglas Dier's office.

Debra was a spitfire of a woman right up until her last breaths. She lived every day with positivity and determination. She was always seen with a smile on her face, spreading her positive spirit.

Debra’s greatest accomplishment was being a mom to her son, Jeffrey. He is the apple of her eye — her hero. They shared a very special bond.

Debra enjoyed cooking for her family and loved ones. Holidays were always special.

She also enjoyed lunch or dinner with friends, arts and crafts, bingo, sewing, and making desserts.

Debra loved her pets and was predeceased by her special pets in her life: Buddy, and Milkshake. Her special friend bandit will miss her very much.

Debra is survived by her Son, Jeffrey A. Dodds of West Rutland, VT; Two brothers, Richard Lloyd of White River Junction, VT and Francis Lloyd of Ira, VT; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Matthew Dodds; Her mother, Janice Lloyd; and her father, Joseph Lloyd.

There will be a celebration of life held for Debra on July 10th from 4-8pm at the Rutland country club at 275 Grove Street,Rutland, VT, 05701.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763 in honor of her.
