Denise Compagna, 32, of Rutland, VT gained her wings of freedom on February 20, 2024. She was born on May 18, 1991 in Rutland, Vt to Annette (Compagna) Rider & Randy Walker.

Denise grew up in Rutland, Vt. She graduated from Rutland High School.

Denise had a free spirit and a zest for adventure. She loved anything that had to do with nature. You could always find her hiking, walking, or anything that had to do with being outside,  She loved playing her guitar & all things that included music. Denise had an infectious smile that could light up a room. She loved to laugh & she had a laugh that would lighten anyone's day.

She loved her family & friends fiercely. She loved being an aunt to Isaiah & Dane. Her face would light up everytime she would talk about them.

Denise is survived by her mother Annette Rider of Rutland, her brother Edward Walker of Rutland, her two nephews; Isaiah and Dane Walker of Rutland; Several aunts, uncles, & cousins. She also left behind her greatest joy; her four legged fur baby Ed. He was the joy in her life. She was so proud to be his mom & loved having him by her side.

Denise is predeceased by her father Randy Walker, both her maternal grandparents Irene & Robert Burke of Rutland,  paternal grandparents Ollie & Edward Walker of Rutland, & her aunt Karen Flagg also of Rutland.

Denise's life's adventures took her down many different paths but her undying love and devotion to her family always led her home. The path wasn't always easy but she never gave up or waivered. She has embarked on her next journey. She finally has found the true freedom she so desperately sought. She is once again in the arms of her father & with her loved ones. Her short life has left a tremendous impact on all that she has left behind.

Calling hours will be held from 10am-12pm on Monday March 4, 2024 at Clifford Funeral Home.

A memorial service will follow at 12pm at Clifford Funeral Home.
