Dinna Marie Baron Bauer, a beloved member of the Rutland community, peacefully passed into the arms of the Lord on January 14, 2026, at her residence in Rutland, VT.
Born on June 3, 1961, in Rutland, Dinna was the daughter of Anthony T. Baron and Barbara King Mullen, and her stepfather, John Mullen.
Throughout her life, Dinna embraced her passions with joy, especially spending time fishing on Lake Bomoseen with her husband, Charles. In the summer, their cherished dog, Foster, accompanied them on boating adventures, while winter brought joyful gatherings with friends at their ice village on the lake, filled with laughter, cheers, and the occasional catch. These moments were among Dinna's happiest, highlighting her love for life and friendship.
Dinna is survived by her long-time best friend and sister-in-law, Jill Baron Hackett, and her husband Robert of North Granville, NY. She shared a deep bond with her niece, Ashlea Baron (Fred Burch), and their two children, Ashton and Chase Burch, all of Granville, NY. Dinna also leaves behind her dear friend Scott Williams and her cousin Theresa Longtin and her two sons. Dinna had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went, living by the mantra to "eat, drink, and be merry."
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles Baver III, her beloved brother who was always by her side Anthony John Baron and his son, her god son and little fishing buddy Nicholas, along with her beloved dogs Foster and Sady. Dinna was also preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Mullen, her stepfather, John Mullen, and her father, Anthony J. Baron, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Catholic internment will be held at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Middle Granville this spring, where Dinna will be laid to rest next to her treasured mother. Public notification of the burial will be made prior to the service.
Dinna's spirit, warmth, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
