Donald E. Ackley

Donald E. Ackley of Rutland died Sunday evening, December 11 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. He was born in Rutland February 9, 1938 the son of Edna Ackley. Donald was a graduate of Black River Union High School and was an active National Guardsman for 20+ and was a member of the Color Guard. Don was employed for 30 years by General Electric Company. He enjoyed hunting, camping & maple sugaring. Surviving are children, Annette, Scott, Kelly, Ron, James and David, Grandchildren, Jack, Kevin, Carly, Hannah, Teagan, Kristine, Geri, Felicia & Sofia.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at The Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland Vermont.
