Edward A. Warner, beloved husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at his residence on Wed., Oct. 19, 2022, at the age of 91.
He was the son of Edward and Mary Rose (Franzoni) Warner and lived most of his life in Rutland, VT. After graduating from Rutland High School in 1950, he enlisted in the Navy and served for four years. Ed had a long career with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company before retiring and went on to manage many regional businesses in his retirement. Ed had many interests: football, basketball, hockey, racing, golfing, baseball to name a few, but his greatest love was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Shari (Edmands) Warner; his daughters, Kyleen (LeRoy) Martelle, Maureen (Rick) Blackmer, and Rosemary Warner, all of Rutland; his grandchildren, Laura (John) Rumley of North Carolina, Jennifer (Derek) Karcher of Michigan, Alicia Blackmer and Grace Raymond, both of Rutland; great grandchildren, Caden, Caleb, and Abigail Karcher, and Kennedy Rumley, who all knew him as “Happy”.
He is predeceased in death by his wife of 54 years, Jeanine (LaChance) Warner, his sister, Dolores Mock, and his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Church on Wed., Oct. 26, at 11:00 a.m.
There will be no calling hours.
Burial will be held at a later date at the Vermont Veteran’s Cemetery in Randolph, VT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: USS Slater at 141 Broadway, Albany, NY, 12202; American Legion Post 31 at 33 Washington St. Rutland, VT 05701; or VFW Post 648 on Wales St.
