Esterina (Valerolli) Bergendahl 1947 – 2025

Esterina Bergendahl, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in Rutland, Vermont.

Born and raised in Rutland in 1947 to Philip and Mary (Spine) Valerolli, Esterina graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy and earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Vermont.

A devoted member of St. Peter Church, she served as Director of Religious Education, Eucharistic Minister, Reader, and member of the Liturgy Committee. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her every act of kindness and service.

Esterina found joy in cheering for her beloved Boston Bruins and in creating quilts for the Quilts of Valor program, honoring veterans with her time and talent.

She is survived by her son Erik (Ashley) Bergendahl; daughter Alyssa (Michael) Goodreau; and grandchildren Tyler and Ava Goodreau.

Her love and light will live on in all who knew her.
