Frank (Punker) Dominic Panarello, 91, of West Rutland died April 26, 2024 at Rutland Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Rutland on March 12, 1933, the son of Dominic and Marie Catherine (Zingali) Panarello. He married Lucy Jankowski on October 26, 1957.
Frank was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and apple and berry picking with his children and grandchildren.
He was employed at the Howe Scale Company until its closure and then worked in the maintenance department at the Holiday Inn until he retired.
He was an army veteran, serving in the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion.
He enjoyed cooking and everyone looked forward to his zucchini parmesan at annual family reunions.
Survivors include his children James Panarello and his wife Yvonne of Clarendon, Diane Stevens and her husband Scott of Lanesborough, Massachusetts, Kelly Boudreau and her husband Fred, Jr. of Rutland, seven grandchildren, Kelsie Boudreau, Nicholas Beaudreau, Daniel Boudreau, Michael Stevens, Emma Stevens, Kamdyn Panarello, Lilyana Panarello and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy (married for 64 years until her passing in 2021), his siblings Anthony Panarello, Marie Taggert, Carmella Russell, Josephine Sabotka and Helen (Nancy) Panarello.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in West Rutland. A private (family only) viewing will be held at Mullin- Clifford Funeral Home in West Rutland at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rutland County Humane Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home.
