Genevieve A. Kelley
Genevieve Agnes Budnicki Kelley passed into the arms of God on August 8th, 2016
Genevieve, or Genny, as her family and friends would call her, was born in West Rutand Vermont on January 4th 1931 to Charles and Agnes (Kos) Budnicki. In Polish, she was “Genka” to her family.
She was raised and educated in West Rutland. Genny worked at the Rosenblatt’s dress factory (as a Floor Lady) in Rutland until its closing and was then hired at General Electric where she worked until her retirement in 1991 after 25 years.
In 1950 she married Bernard Kelley. They were married for 57 years until his death in 2007.
Bernie and Genny had one daughter, Darlene.
Genevieve was predeceased by her husband Bernard (Bernie). Her parents, a sister, Joanna, who died in infancy, her brother Alek Budnicki of West Rutland and her sister Anna Budnicki Cota of Rutland.
She is survived by her daughter Darlene Kelley Goad and husband Blaine, of Clarendon VT.
Three grandchildren; Blaine Goad Jr. and wife Billi-Jo, of Whitehall NY. Aubrey Goad and her long-time boyfriend Mark, of Clarendon VT and also by Paul Boivin and his girlfriend Kirsten, of Seattle Washington.
Four great grandchildren, Wesley, Dylan, Ashley and Mason. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The Pines long term care facility. A very special thank you to mom’s “special angel” at The Pines.
There will be no calling hours.
A mass will be held at Christ The King Church in Rutland on Thursday, August 11th at 11:00am.
Burial will take place after the mass at Evergreen Cemetery in Center Rutland.
In lieu of flowers, donations to West Rutland High School in Genny’s memory can be made.
Arrangements are by the Clifford Funeral Home.
