Genevieve Prenevost 105, died Tuesday Afternoon July 15, 2025 at her residence.

She was born April 29, 1920 in West Rutland the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Gwardyak) Godlewski.

Genevieve attended local schools.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in West Rutland.

Genevieve married Richard P. Prenevost at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in West Rutland.

She worked as a hostess at Royals Hearthside for many years.

Survivors are her son Richard S. Prenevost, of West Rutland Also by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and by her husband Richard P. Prenevost on September 12, 2007, also by her siblings Edward Godlewski, Mary Rattee and Gladys Rogers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 22, 2025 at 11 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, with the Rev. Richard Crawley as the celebrant.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in West Rutland.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rutland Area Visiting Nurse & Hospice at 7 Albert Cree Drive , Rutland, VT 05701.

The family would like to thank the Rutland Area visiting nurse and hospice team especially Michelle Stevens and Francetta Tice for the wonderful care they provided.
