Gerald Joseph Smart

HARTLAND              Gerald Joseph Paul Smart, 66, of Hartland, ME, died on February 7, 2025 at Sanfield Rehab and Living Center.

Gerald was born on November 28, 1958, in Winterville, ME, the son of Leonard and Aurora (Michaud) Smart.

He worked as a technician for Otis Elevators and Amtrak

He attended Fort Kent Community High School and Studied at Springfield Technical Community College

He was a member of (church, clubs, affiliations)

He enjoyed playing in pool tournaments, traveling with family, researching, comedies, attending baseball and hockey events, and sunbathing by the ocean

Survivors include his daughters Noel Smart, Tara Smart-Small, Colleen Smart, Julia Jankowski Makayla Fournier, Taylor Smart, and Lexus Smart, his sons Cory Smart, Sean Smart, Patrick Smart, Eric Smart, Nicholas Smart, and Dawson Smart, his grandchildren Connor Smart-Walsh, Camden Smart-Walsh, Carmella Walsh, Ava Jankowski, Sophia Jankowski, Dean Jankowski, Nova Jankowski, Samuel Jankowski, Azriel Smart, Ares Smart, Alice Smart, Damien Smart-Small, Elizalia Smart-Small, Leo Fournier, Cole Fournier, Wallen Gerald Fournier, His Wife Laura Smart, as well as his siblings which include Gladys, Marlene, Lila, Douglas, and Arnold.

He was predeceased by both parents…
