Henry J. Weeks RUTLAND — We are sad to announce the passing of Henry J. Weeks, Jr. of Rutland, Vermont at the age of 75, following a difficult period of illness on October 12th, 2023. Henry was born on August 11, 1948, to Henry Sr. and Blanche LaPan Weeks in Franklin, Vermont and was predeceased by his parents. Henry had three sisters, Leona, Shirley, and Betty and three brothers, David, Roger, and Eddie, and a special niece, Barbara Flanders Milo. Henry was a good man and loved life. His favorite activities and hobbies were coloring, drawing, and going to church. He was always there for others and loved sharing his Christian faith. He was a Boy Scout earning the top merit badges. He loved his pets, especially his best friend, his little dog Holly, who passed earlier this year. Henry’s favorite activity was going to church and attending all the activities in which he could be involved. He attended Holy Name Community Catholic Chapel and served as an Acolyte; he loved to carry the cross in the processions. A service will be held at Holy Name Community Catholic Chapel, the Howe Center, 1 Scales Ave, Rutland, VT on: October 21st at 10:00 a.m., with a reception to follow in parish hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Name Chapel for the purchase of a memorial gift in remembrance of Henry and his service to the Lord and the church which he loved.
