Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting here in Vermont as a young man and venturing to his favorite spot in Kentucky.

The family of James F. Pawlusiak, 52, is saddened to announce his passing on September 7, 2026, at his home in Ira, VT. Jim was born February 21, 1974, to Francis Pawlusiak and Frances Grabowski. He graduated from West Rutland High School and the College of St. Joseph. 

Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting here in Vermont as a young man and venturing to his favorite spot in Kentucky. He also loved ice fishing on Lake Bomoseen. Jim played sports throughout school and still enjoyed watching his beloved NY Yankee baseball team and his favored Raiders and Michigan State Football teams. He also enjoyed the races at the Saratoga Racetrack. Jim was previously employed at Green Mountain Power as a Process Coordinator.

James is survived by his wife Diane, of Ira, VT. His mother Frances Grabowski, of Ira, VT. His sister Melissa and her husband Paul (PJ) of West Rutland, VT. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Francis (Elmer) Pawlusiak, grandparents Fritz and Charlotte Pawlusiak, and Tony and Catherine Dydo, and uncles, aunts and cousins.

A Celebration of Life is planned for September 27,2026, at the West Rutland American Legion Post #87, from 2PM to 6PM.
