Jean P. Ambrosini, 104, of Rutland, VT, passed away on November 11, 2024, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Jean was born on May 2, 1920, in New York City, NY, to Anthony and Giovanna (Grasso) Pennisi. She graduated from Hunter College in New York City with an associate’s degree and later went on to work for the U.S. Government as a teletypist. After moving to Rutland, she served as a clerk for the Rutland Probate Court for 20 years, a role she deeply enjoyed.
Jean was passionate about her family, cooking, and community. As an Italian, she took great pride in preparing meals and sharing them with loved ones. She was also a member of a singing group, performing for residents in local nursing homes, bringing joy and music to others. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed crocheting, often making and giving away handmade clown dolls. A fan of classic music, she adored the songs of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
Jean’s devotion to her family was evident in her loving relationships with them. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Loso; granddaughter, Debra L. Gawet of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and great-grandson, Justin Harney. She was predeceased by both her parents, brother, sister, and her beloved husband.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at Clifford Funeral Home. A burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland, VT.
Jean’s kindness, warmth, and passion for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
