Joan Czarnecki

Ira- Joan Czarnecki, 83, of Ira died peacefully Sunday July 16, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born in Troy NY on February 29, 1940 the daughter of Ralph and Wyona (Hendrix) Evens.

Joan attended Port Henry Schools

Joan then married Walter Czarnecki in 1962.

Joan stayed home to raise her family.

She enjoyed bird watching and time with family.

Survivors include her sons Walter Czarnecki Jr. and Steven Czarnecki both of Ira; daughters Judith and husband Robert LaDuc of North Clarendon, Patricia Czarnecki of Ira, Susan Powell and Fiancé Roger Dunham of Brattleboro and Melissa Pecor and husband Tracey of Starksboro. Three brothers Thomas Evens and Lawrence Evens both of Moriah, and John Evens of Port Henry; sisters Marjorie Eaton of Rutland and Ann Dunshane of Crown Point. Also 19 grand children and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by both her parents and her husband Walter in 2002.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 6pm Friday July 21, 2023 at Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home in West Rutland.
