Joanne Walmsley

Joanne Walmsley, 88, died April 20, 2020 in Rutland.

She was born Dec. 18, 1931 in Swarthmore, PA, daughter of Clarence and Helen (Pew) Worst.

Joanne moved back to Rutland from Virginia in March 2020.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Denise Rhodes (Stanley) of Middletown Springs and Sheila Alexander of Rutland; 2 sons, Robin Walmsley (Janet) of Hendersonville, N.C. and Scott Walmsley of Canajoharie, NY; a brother, Robert Worst; 2 sisters, Eva Widdowson and Esther Larson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Walmsey in 2008; a daughter, Joanne MacDonald in 2002 and by 2 sisters, Helen Nowell and Mary Baker.

Burial will take place at a later date in PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
