Jose A. Valentin Jr.

Jose A. Valentin Jr., 57, died April 28, 2021 at home.

He was born in Meriden, CT, October 31, 1963, the son of Jose A. and Mary (Monaco) Valentin Sr.

Jose moved to Rutland from Southington, CT in 2000.

He was owner operator of American Collision Auto Body Shop.

Jose enjoyed hunting, fishing and was interested in Indian artifacts and Antique collectibles.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Pamela (Drost) Valentin of Rutland; 2 sons, Jose A. Valentin III of Rutland Town and Jonathan Valentin of Rutland; 2 daughters, Jacqueline Valentin of Castleton and Ann Marie Valentin of West Rutland; a brother, Rogelio Valentin of Meriden CT; 4 sisters Dawn Hedlund of Meriden CT, Ramona Field of Vero Beach, FL, Lisa Rowe of Westbrook CT and Marylee Jackson of Vancouver WA; 4 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at 1 PM Thursday May 6, 2021 in Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in East Clarendon Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the Clifford Funeral Home. Masks are required.
