Joseph Michael Garafano

BRIDPORT - Joseph M. Garafano, 63, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at his residence.
He was born June 10, 1953, in Rutland, the son of Louis and Florence (Roberts) Garafano.
He graduated in 1972 from Mount St. Joseph Academy, where he served as class president. He attended the College of St. Joseph.
Mr. Garafano was employed as a cook at the Open Door Mission. He was owner-operator of The Bottle Club in Rutland and Hugable Jug in Poultney.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and boating.
Survivors include two sisters, Sharon Russell, of Rutland, and Mary Brislin, of Castleton, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Donna Baccei; and a nephew.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at Clifford Funeral Home where a calling hour will begin at 11 a.m. prior to the service officiated by the Rev. Richard Tinney.
Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
