Kathleen Phillips

WEST RUTLAND - Kathleen (Herbert) Phillips, 87, of West Rutland, died Dec. 25, 2016, at The Pines of Rutland.
She was born in West Rutland, April 12, 1929, the daughter of John and Eleanor (Battles) Herbert.
She was a graduate of West Rutland High School class of 1947 and the Lennox Hill Nursing College in New York City.
She was employed in the surgical unit at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Phillips was a kind and caring person who used her nursing skills to care for many family members throughout her life.
She was a member of St. Bridget's Church in West Rutland and a familiar face at daily Mass.
Surviving are sisters-in-law Rosemarie Herbert, Jean Herbert and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Phillips, in 2010; and by four brothers, the Rev. John Herbert, William Herbert, Thomas Herbert and Robert Herbert; and by a sister, Charlotte Pawlusiak.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at St. Bridget's Church in West Rutland. A reception will follow.
Burial will be at a later date in St. Bridget's Cemetery
