Kathryn Ellen King

RUTLAND TOWN Kathryn Ellen King, 58, of Rutland, VT, died on October 20, 2024.
Kathryn was born on November 8, 1965 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John and Judith (Wolfe) King.

Her true passion was helping others, and she spent many years dedicated to the mental health field as a substance abuse counselor to those in need.

More than anything she loved being a mother and grandmother, her source of endless pride.  She was happiest when surrounded by her favorite people. She could always be found sitting around the kitchen table chatting while listening to music. Her infectious laugh, gag gifts, and hilarious stories brought joy and laughter to many.

She is survived by her son Ryan Ackerman and his fiancée Lauren Lambalot of Nashua, NH; daughter Madison Ackerman Bazzano and husband John Bazzano and granddaughter Zoe Bazzano of Framingham, MA. Honorary family members; Terese, Rob and Rachel Black for their endless support and love.

She was predeceased by her father John King, and mother and best friend, Judy “Dee” Evans.

There will be a celebration of life on Sunday October 27th at Southside Steakhouse at 12:00 PM. Friends and family are encouraged to wear bright and fun colors to honor Kathy.
