Kimberly A. Barker

Kimberly A. Barker, 49, died February 17, 2022 of pancreatic cancer, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Rutland, January 19, 1973, daughter of Edward and Mary (Gonyea) Barker.

Kimberly was a 1992 graduate of Rutland High School.  She attended Community College of Vermont.

She worked at Terrill St. Discount Beverage, Gracey’s Store and Deli in So. Burlington and most recently the Manager at Pizza Hut in Rutland.

Ms. Barker attended St. Peter’s Church.  She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

Kimberly enjoyed softball, NASCAR and her kittens, Chloe and Zoey.  She was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Surviving are her parents, Edward Barker and Mary (Gonyea) Barker of Rutland; a brother, Edward Barker of Rutland and his daughter, Megan Barker of Maple Grove, MN; 2 sisters, Tracey Randlett (Rob) and their daughter Savanna of Manchester, NH, Kelley Cross (Andrew) their children Brandon and Lexi of Rutland.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Brian Olena in September 2020.

Kim had a bigger than life personality, she had a heart of gold, to know her is to love her. Kim was everyone’s friend and a best friend she was to so many she would do anything for her friends and family her nieces and nephew were her pride and joy!

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 to 5 pm in the Rutland American Legion Post 31 on Saturday, February 26, 2022.
