Leo A. Tyminski, 87, of West Rutland, VT, died on January 29, 2025 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Leo was born on April 24, 1937, in W. Rutland, VT, the son of Peter and Jennie Tyminski.
He grew up in West Rutland, attending Saint Stanislaus School and West Rutland High School.
He served in the US Navy on the U.S.S. Wisconsin BB64.
He worked for Rosen & Burgers and VT Marble but worked in maintenance for General Electric for most of his life, retiring after 35 years.
He married Joanne Elizabeth Wood in 1959, they were married for 45 years until her passing in 2005.
He was able to think outside the box and had a natural ingenuity to build or fix anything you put in front of him. That was his gift. He used his natural talents to build his own home from the ground up and would build houses for others after working his regular job. Leo’s silver lining throughout the years was listening to old polish and country vinyl records.
