West Rutland - Leona C. Razanouski
Leona Razanouski, 86, died September 14th at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in West Rutland, January 7, 1939, Daughter of Vincent and Victoria (Hyjek) Wierzbicki.
Leona was known as the life of the party wherever she was, and was prideful of her family. She knew that family did not need to be blood as she welcomed anyone into her home and offered anything she could. You never went away hungry from her house, and if you did she would tell you that it was your own fault. She was very proud of her table settings for holidays making Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas her greatest family time.
She enjoyed dancing and cherished her polish heritage and would out polka anyone. Leona was a lunch lady at west Rutland school for over 30 years always having fun with the kids as they came through during the day. She also held other jobs within Rutland County including Fishman’s, the marble exhibit in proctor.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and had strong faith always making Sunday mass and brunch after with friends.
Surviving are a daughter Carrise Flynn and her husband Chris of West Rutland; 2 sons, Mathew of West Rutland and Michael and partner Lisa of Bomoseen; 2 grandchildren Logan Flynn and Joshua Razanouski, his wife Katelynn and 2 great grandchildren Ethan and McKayla Jean Razanouski, a sister Jody Poljacik of west Rutland and a brother Ted Wierzbicki of Rutland, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her Husband of 55 years Vital, and a son, Marc Razanouski.
