Louise Marie Lawrence

Louise Marie Lawrence, 96, of Rutland died peacefully March 7, 2024 at the Pines in Rutland with her family at her side.

Louise was born on February 12, 1928, the daughter of Mariano and Bennedetta (Ruggiero) Cioffi.

She was a homemaker, cooking delicious meals and some questionable concoctions, is the term she used, when trying a new dish.

She was a member of Christ the King Church and a 1947 graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy.

Lou-Lou as she was fondly known by her family is survived by her husband of 72 years, Bernard E. Lawrence. Her children, Steven Lawrence (Cathy Hayes) of Shrewsbury, VT,

Daughters, Susan Lawrence and Mary Rose Ferrell (Steven) both of Rutland and son-in-law Bill Dunn of Marlton, NJ

Louise’s grandchildren, Ken O’Rourke (Amanda McTaggart) of West Rutland, Aaron Lawrence (Stephanie Hull) of Shrewsbury, VT, Stephanie Lawrence-Roberts (Jameson) of Jericho, VT, Mike Dunn and Chris Dunn (Eve Hess) of Marlton, NJ and Brian Ferrell (Caitlyn Reynolds) of Center Rutland and one very special great-grand daughter

Marley Sue Roberts.

Louise is predeceased by her parents, infant son Baby Bernie in 1954 and a daughter, Julie Dunn in 2022, brothers, Ralph Cioffi, Alberico Cioffi and Al Michael Cioffi.

In honoring Louise’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services.

A private burial will be held at a later date.

Louise’s family would like to thank the staff of The Pines and Bayada Hospice for their wonderful care.
