Lucille M. Margo

Lucille M. Margo, 96, of Rutland, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024 at Birchwood Terrace in Burlington, Vermont.

Born in Proctor, Vermont on February 29, 1928, she was the daughter of Polidor and Laura (Lavictoire) Pomainville.

On May 2, 1947 she married Alfred V. Margo Sr., who predeceased her on June 6, 1984. She was also predeceased by her son, Paul Francis Margo on November 15, 1952. Lucille was also predeceased by two brothers: Leo Pomainville and Rene Pomainville, and three sisters: Yvette Pomainville Heath, Pauline Pomainville Donahue and Jeannette Pomainville Goodrich.

She is survived by her two children: Alfred V. Margo Jr. and his wife Barbara of Boothbay Harbor, Maine and Anne Margo Orr of Essex Junction, Vermont. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Katie (Eric) Margo Kreidler, Sara (Corey) Margo Olmsted, Gina Margo, Kailee (Santiago) Orr Ospina, David Orne (Amy) and Richard Orne (Leslie). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Christopher Orne, Samantha Orne, Lily Orne, Maddie Orne and Caden Olmsted, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Lucille was employed by Tambrands Inc. of Rutland for 37 years.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ the King Church in Lucille’s honor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 7th at Christ the King Church in Rutland.
