Luigi Mainolfi RUTLAND — Luigi Mainolfi, 88, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Luigi was born March 7th, 1935 in Pratella, Italy, the third child and only son of Clelia (Testa) Marro and Giambattista Mainolfi. In his early teens, Luigi immigrated to the United States and attended Mount Saint Jospeh Academy in Rutland, where he graduated in 1955. After graduation he enlisted in United States Air Force and served until1959. On September 22, 1962 he married Catherine (Adamsen) Mainolfi, the love of his life. Luigi worked at General Electric as a machinist in Rutland until his retirement in 1998. He was an avid golfer and long time member of Proctor-Pittsford Country Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing soccer and spending time with his family. He is survived by his three children, Lisa (John) Miglorie of Proctor, Michael Mainolfi and Kelly Pratico both of Rutland, four grandchildren, Brittanie Bradley, Allyson Bradley, Morgan Pratico and William (Joey) Pratico III, two great grandsons, two sisters, Sarah Valente and Josephine Flory both of Rutland Town, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his loving wife.
