Margaret Holden

Margaret (Buswell, Phelps) Holden, 77, of Rutland, died on June 11, 2024 in her home.

Margaret was born on August 6, 1946 in Castleton, VT, the daughter of Frank L. Buswell and Elizabeth M. (Rivers) Buswell, Rowe. Margaret married twice. She had many friends and great neighbors where she lived at Regency Manor in Rutland. She worked at VAC, Tambrands, and Darilee, NY, then General Electric, where she retired. She was a mentor and for many years, a foster grandparent. She loved them all.

Survivors include a special woman Kara Lemieux and her two daughters Chaylen and Courtney of Castleton; her brothers John and wife Sheila Buswell of York, PA, and Bernard Buswell of Rutland; sisters Elizabeth Rivers of Woodstock and Priscilla Aines of Rutland; step-sisters Janine Regula; 3 God-children Sherry Bates, Jenny Bates, and Katrina Aines who she loved and their family’s; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by both parents; brother Frank Buswell of Milton; step-brother David Buswell; and step-sister Jocelyn Thomas.

A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date.
