Margaret Patricia Wilkins

West Rutland-Margaret Patricia ‘Pat’ ‘Dot’ Wilkins, 83 of West Rutland passed away early Tuesday morning, March 19, 2024.
She was born in West Rutland, March 4,1941, daughter of Harold C and Catherine (McDevitt) Wilkins.
Pat graduated from West Rutland High School in 1959 and went on to attend college at UVM.  After graduating college she moved on to teach at South Royalton Elementary School retiring after over 40 years of molding the minds of young children.  She loved her students so much that her summer evenings were spent crocheting mittens to give each of her new incoming children for Christmas.
Days were spent tending the flower gardens with her sister Susie that blanketed their property in West Rutland.
Her love of traveling took her to Ireland, England, Italy, Alaska and many other destinations closer to home with family.
She is survived by her many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers Harold Wilkins Jr and Harry Wilkins, sisters Anna Maranville and Mary (Susie) Wilkins, nieces Catherine Shull and Patricia Crimmins, by her very special nephew Harold (Hunky) Wilkins III and great nephew Nathan (Big Nate) Ricketts.
A Service will be held on April 6th at 11am at St. Bridget church where Pat was a lifelong member.
