Marilyn J. Kelley

Marilyn J Kelley, 88 of Rutland, passed away Friday May 30, 2025 at The Pines of Rutland. Marilyn was born Nov. 1, 1936 to Hartwell and Carrie King in Middlebury, Vt. where she attended area schools. On Oct. 1, 1955 Marilyn married Charles H. Kelley and together they had 8 children. Marilyn is survived by daughters Charlene (Bill) Baptie of Springfield, Vt., Theresa (Larry) Loso of Old Saybrook, Ct., sons Michael Kelley of Waterford, Ct., and Scott Kelley of Barre, Vt. Sister Dorothy (Don) Ashe of Eden, MD. Eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Marilyn is predeceased by her husband, her parents, her brothers Richard King and Hartwell King Jr. Marilyn is also predeceased by her sons Stephen and Patrick Kelley, daughters LynnAnn Kelley, Denise Kelley, and grandson Christopher Baptie. Due to health complications Marilyn made her home at The Pines of Rutland for the last 16 years. Marilyn was extremely grateful for the love and care she received while there and considered the staff as family. Per Marilyn’s request there will be no calling hours and a private burial will take place at a later date.
