Mary Brisson

Mary Brisson, 101, of Rutland, died Jan. 18, 2022, at Mountain View Center in Rutland.

She was born on Feb. 15, 1920 in Shoreham, daughter of Alton and Katie (Kubin) Johanis.

Mary was a cook in Christ the King School cafeteria for 32 years.

She was a member of Mount Kisco Boys Band and was known as “Mary Jo the Yodeling Cowgirl from VT”.

Surviving are 2 nieces, Tammy Davis and Sharon Nutting; a nephew, Brian Davis.

She is predeceased by 2 sisters, Clara Johanis Bronson and Helen Johanis Davis; a brother, Edward Johanis; nephews, Norman Davis and Garry Davis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Tuesday Feb. 15, 2022 in Christ the King Church.

Burial will be held at a later date in Shoreham.

Arrangements are by Clifford Funeral Home.
