Mary Therese Flory

Rutland.  Mary Therese Flory, 95 of Rutland passed away on November 9, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. Mary Therese was born on December 17, 1928. The daughter of Catherine McBride. She attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy, class of 1946. August 15, 1950 she married Anthony D.(Tony) Flory. She loved motorcycle riding with him and her son Tim. A very independent woman, she would drive her other love, her white convertible. NASCAR was a favorite sport for her. Another enjoyment over the years, was the weekly gathering of the Girls Coffee Club. Throughout Mary’s life, she always maintained a cheerful outlook. Family and friends would agree she was thoughtful, kind, and had the gift of making each, and everyone feel special. A life filled with love beyond seven children, there are 15 grandchildren and 22 great grand children. Survivors include, her son David J. Flory of Rutland VT, daughters Carol (James) Austin of Clarendon, VT, Judy (Mitchell) Burke of Uxbridge ,MA, Lisa(John) Flory-Reardon of Pittsford, VT, Diana (Rick)Campbell of Florence, VT.  Pre-deceased by her mother are many aunts and uncles. Her husband Tony in 1996, daughter Linda Flory Barbagallo, and son Timothy.  Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude are sent to the entire RAVNA Hospice team. A celebration of life will be held 11 AM Friday, November 22, 2024 at Christ the King Church in Rutland, VT. Private burial will be held at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery Center Rutland, VT .
