Michael Robert Davis

Rutland, VT - Michael Robert Davis, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family after a long illness.

Mike was born in North Adams, Massachusetts, on February 6, 1946, the son of Robert M. Davis and Teresa (O’Shea) Davis. He graduated from Rutland High School with the Class of 1964 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1968.

On October 18, 1975, Mike married Sharon (Sabourin) Davis, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. He was the proud father of his son, Adam. Mike spent his career in route sales and later retired from Koffee Kup Bakery.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Davis; his son, Adam Davis; his sister, Cindy (Cary) Wolinsky; his brother-in-law, Francis Sabourin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Teresa Davis, and his brother, Dennis.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 14th, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 6:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be announced soon.
