Michael Maniery

Michael Maniery, “Tweet” 65, of Rutland passed quietly and peacefully on November 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Rutland August 13, 1951 the son of Angelo and Patricia (Mangan) Maniery.
Michael was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy class of 1970 and a member of the 1969 State Champion Football Team.
Michael was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the sport with his Dad, brothers, and brother-in-laws.
Mike enjoyed mudding in his jeep, gambling, partying and road trips with Nuffer.
Tweet had his own colorful way of greetings and salutations.
Mike was known to all as owner of Rutland bars and restaurants, Magoos, Tweets and Michael Angelo’s.
Surviving are his father Angelo of Rutland, one son, two brothers, Dan Maniery and wife Julie of Pittsford, Nick Maniery and wife Cheryl and four sisters, Joanne McDonald and husband Martin, Marilyn Couture and husband Jay of Colchester, Nancy Kellogg and husband David of Rutland Town and Patty Truman and husband Dana of Rutland; nieces and nephews, Bethany, Zachary, Kimberly, Kayla, Dominic, Brittany and Tyler.
A gathering and celebration of life will be held Sunday November 6, 2016 at 1:00pm at the American Legion Post #31.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
