West Rutland Nicola “Nick’ Notte, 69, of West Rutland passed away Monday April 15, 2024 at U.V.M. Medical Center.
He was born in Rutland April 14, 1955 the son of Luigi N. and Dorothy (Peer) Notte.
Nick was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy class of 1973.
He was employed with Tambrands Inc. as a supervisor, he worked for Proctor and Gamble, and then was a shift supervisor at General Electric Aviation where he retired.

Nick bought his house in West Rutland in 1978 where he raised his family and also became a member within the town. Nick was the Assistant VT State Fire Warden, a former member of the West Rutland Volunteer Fire Dept. where he climbed to the rank of second assistant chief, a West Rutland Town Selectman and Chair of the Board, and lastly a Boy Scout Master. Nick truly loved the town he lived in and wanted to be a part in it every way he could.
He enjoyed deer hunting every season at the family camp, riding his beloved Harley Davidson, and playing with his grand babies every chance he could.

Surviving are his wife Rosemarie (Trombley) Notte of West Rutland, one son, Brian Notte (Sarah Rogers) of Ira, one daughter Sara Webb (Andrew) of Rutland, two brothers, Albert Notte (Mary) of Rutland and Andrew Notte (Angela) of Rutland, one sister, Paula Molaski (Vince Elkey) of Rutland, nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt Blanchie Robitaille & Buckie.

He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Dillon (Heather), Felicia (Cam), Gregory (Anna) and Bryan; three step- grandsons, David, Zachary and Jacob; 2 great grandchildren, Thomas and Dalton.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, his grandson, Ryan Michael Notte, his great-grandson Jaxton Lee Notte and by two brothers, Anthony and Thomas Notte.

Visiting hours will be held Monday April 22, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am at St. Bridget’s Church in West Rutland.
Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery
A reception will follow.
