Patricia Minard Dunn passed away April 6, 2026 at the age 97 after a period of declining health at Rutland Regional Hospital.
She was born on September 5, 1928 in Rutland Vermont daughter of the late Gertrude Diekel and Myron Minard.
Patricia graduated from Rutland High School 1946 and attended Rutland Hospital school of nursing.
She was a co-owner of the original Minard’s Snack Bar with her parents, and her husband for eighteen years. She along with her husband operated Minard’s Snack Bar on Grove Street then Minard’s Family Restaurant on So Main St for nineteen years. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, painting, gardening, golfing, and being with family and friends and keeping close to her classmates.
Patricia is survived by two sons Michael (Donna) Dunn Albany, NY, John Dunn West Wardsboro, Vt, five daughters Linda (Jerry) Huggins Shrewsbury, Ma, Cathy Dunn Palm Coast, Fl, Barbara (Rick) Miglorie Mendon, Vt, Anne Dunn Colchester, Vt, Eileen (Tim) Willard Lyndonville, Vt. Fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, sister Judy Minard Moneada. Along with many family members and friends who will miss her.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 50 years James J Dunn, son James J Dunn, brother Lee Minard, sisters Shirley Bassett and Laura Loso, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial mass will be June 12th, 2026 at 11AM at Christ The King Church in Rutland, Vt. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery Rutland, Vt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Christ The King School, Mount Saint Joseph High School, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude’s Place Memphis, Tn 38105
