Rutland - RALPH MUSELLA

Ralph Francis Musella 78, died at Rutland Regional Medical Center on Sunday January 11th after a short illness. Ralph was the son of Andy Musella and Carmela (Cioffi) Musella. He graduated from Mt St Joseph Academy in 1965, and from St Michael’s College in 1969 where he later earned a Master of Education degree.

Ralph began his 53-year career in education at Milton High School, served as Guidance Counselor at MSJ, and in 1991 started Vermont College Counseling. He guided over a thousand students through the college admission process and was proud to see them succeed.

He was an avid sports fan, cheering on not only the New York Yankees and Indianapolis Colts, but also all the local high school teams.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law Madeline and Mike Murphy of Aldie, Virginia, three nephews Mike Murphy Jr. (Lori) of Gainesville, VA, Andrew Murphy (Julia) of Aldie VA, and Jason Murphy (Tiffany) of South Riding, VA, 8 great and 3 great great nieces and nephews.

Ralph enjoyed the friendship of his East St neighbors and his good friends Marty McDonough and Ed Covell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 16, 2025 at 11 A.M. at Christ the King Church, Rutland, with the Rev. Msgr. Bernard Bourgeois as the celebrant.

Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
